Materials needed

  • Grid paper
  • Fine drawing pen such as Uni Pin or Micron

First Pattern

This mandala pattern is created from the assembly of the following shapes: regular petals, tear drop leaves, swirls, and circles.

  • Step a– Trace a regular petal
  • Step b– Trace a diagonal inner double outline as shown in the figure above.
  • Step c– Fill the outline space with small circles
  • Step d– At the bottom center trace two identical swirls from each side.
  • Step e– From the center of the swirls draw tear drop leaves.

Second Pattern

This mandala pattern is created from the assembly of the following basic shapes: regular petal, curved lines, flower.

  • Step a– Trace a regular petal
  • Step b– Draw a curved line from the bottom left to the top right as shown in the illustration above.
  • Step c– Draw an opposite curved line to the one you drew in step b.
  • Step d– Repeat step b.
  • Step e– Repeat step c.
  • Step f– Trace a half circle and color it in black.
  • Step g– Trace the flower’s petals.

Third Pattern

This pattern is also based on the regular petal shape with addition of curved lines and teardrop petals.

  • Step a- Trace the regular petal
  • Step b- Trace a smaller regular petal that starts and ends from the sides of the previous petal.
  • Step c- Draw a double pointed tear drop at the summit of the smaller petal and put a dot inside.
  • Step d- Trace curved lines from each side of the double pointed tear drop.
  • Final step- Trace tear drop leaves at the bottom of the petal

Fourth Pattern

This pattern is a representation of a leaf with decorated borders.

  • Step a- Trace a regular petal.
  • Step b- Trace an inner outline.
  • Step c- Fill the border with small circles.
  • Step d- Trace a line cutting the leaf in half.
  • Step e- Trace curved lines from each side of the center line as shown in the illustration above.
